how to make BLONDIES / food recipes

These blondies are not only delicious, but easy for the entire family to make. I decided to supplement my usual go-to flour with almond meal. They bake up wonderfully soft and moist, with a buttery flavor that is unlike anything else.

This recipe for blondies is my favorite! I love to make these for holiday treats or for bake sales. The golden crisp exterior and chewy center are the best of both worlds.
INGREDIENTS

1 cup (130 g) all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp baking soda

1 cup (200 g) dark brown sugar

1 stick of melted unsalted butter (113 g)

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup dark chocolate chunks

method

I'm going to show you how I like to make blondies this is a very easy recipe and I love to make this for bake sales so this might give you an idea if you have a bake sale here we go I'm going to start by combining my dry ingredients here I have one cup of all-purpose flour to that I'm going to add a half teaspoon of salt a half teaspoon of baking powder I'm also going to add a quarter teaspoon of baking soda now I'm just going to mix and combine well foreign for the wet ingredients I'm going to work with one cup of dark brown sugar this is around 200 grams of dark brown sugar if you only have light brown sugar that works to that I'm adding one stick of unsalted butter that I melted and I cooled slightly I'm also going to add a room temperature large egg and just crack that into the bowl or if you want to be safe do that in a separate Bowl first I'm also going to add one teaspoon of vanilla extract now I'm just going to mix combine well then I'm going to sort of cream it and whisk it until it is lighter and paler in color this is going to take several minutes you could use your electric mixer for this as well okay so this is creamed together so now I'm going to add my dry ingredients into the wet and I'm just sort of going to fold it I don't really want to over mix this so I'm just going to fold and press everything together until it is combined so this is combined well so here's where you can get creative I like to typically add pecans but my son is allergic to nuts so I'm opting for dark chocolate chunks you could do milk chocolate you could do walnuts sometimes I like to do butterscotch chips it really does depend on your preference I also sometimes like to skip out on the chocolate and add orange zest with a little bit of ground cinnamon in the mix it's so good in an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper I'm going to add my dough and then I'm just going to evenly spread it you'll want to have your oven preheated at this point I preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and I'm going to bake this in a preheated oven for about 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean so this is done after about 23 minutes or so so I'm going to remove it from the oven and let it cool for about 30 minutes or so and then I'll show you how I cut them into squares so these blondies are my favorite texture they have this like Snap or crispy texture on the exterior and the center is gooey and chewy and soft they're so good so I'm going to cut these as evenly as possible sometimes I fail at this but if you're doing a bake sale you definitely can get around 16 of these and when I used to do a lot of bake sales like when I was still in school or involved in community stuff I would triple sometimes quadruple this recipe I actually would double it and bake each batch into a 9x13 baking pan so once I cut these into squares and as you can tell they the shape holds up really well when you pull them completely so I love to make blondies for the holidays as treats little baked gifts or like I said stated earlier a bake sale they're just so much easier to work with than making tons of chocolate chip cookies and back in the day I used to wrap individual squares of blondies and I would charge like 50 cents for a bake sale now today's price is maybe a dollar so here I've just taken some wax paper and I I pretty much do the fold it in half and then I fold it twice you want to make it taut or kind of tight and then you fold it under and now you have a blondie ready for your next bake sale or gift I hope you give this recipe a try I hope you like it.
