How to make donuts at home QUICK
okay today I'm back at it with another donut made from store-bought biscuit dough you guys know I love flaky biscuit dough for this you can use the non-flaky kind it'll work this is something my mom did Growing Up I'm just putting my own twist by making strawberry glazed Donuts okay I'm trying to open this it's not it's not working okay finally that that'll help there we go so I'm gonna put these on my sill pad here and just like before you're going to separate them and I'm just using a little medicine cup to to make the donut hole and right in the center let's see go straight down okay there we go donut and then I love the donut holes so this is why I like to make the donut holes but someone in the comment section said that you can kind of just puncture the center and kind of create your own donut without having to puncture the center but I like these so I'm just going to repeat the process for each biscuit and you will be able to get in this can of biscuit dough eight biscuits or eight Donuts plus eight donut holes so here I'm preheating my fry oil and this is kind of a small pot so um I only filled it probably like an inch deep but it is a deep pot and you probably could fry one or two at the same time I'll be placing my fried donuts here on a baking sheet with a rack just so any residual oil runs off okay first donut now the Donut's going in once your fry oil comes up to temp should be around there we go I'm gonna go with one more and it's going to cook for at least a minute on each side okay I'm going to give it a flip I might flip it once or twice and I want it to get to a deep golden brown color not burnt but you know golden brown I'm gonna flip one more time and just another 20 to 30 seconds and I can already tell once it kind of gets puffy and you see the layers separate a little bit that lets you know that the inside of the dough is cooking so just a little bit longer maybe one more time give it a flip and then I'll take it out right onto the baking sheet and this one should be done and just as easy as that you have almost a donut all you have to do is glaze it let it set for a little bit I'm going to repeat the process for the rest of my Donuts I'll take two we're going to take it right over to the hot oil and in it goes one two there we go okay so I have all of my Donuts fried now it's time for the donut holes I'm gonna I think I can do all of them at once carefully just kind of it's probably a better way to do this I've got the last four going in like if you drop it on top of another one kind of helps with the splash there we go so same thing these are going to cook a little quicker because they're smaller pieces of dough just kind of flip them around and make sure they get golden brown and cooked and as you can see they already puff up love them for the strawberry glaze I'm working oops I'm working with two cups of powdered confectioner sugar you either call it powdered sugar confectioner sugar but yeah that Sugar I'm going to add a little pinch of salt there we go just kind of combine that and I have a teaspoon of vanilla extract you could also add a quarter teaspoon of strawberry extract in there so I made a strawberry puree I added and I was like six to eight strawberries that I chopped up put it in a blender with a third cup of water and I'm just going to add this maybe two tablespoons to start and combine it if you want the color of these strawberries are really red so it's going to give it a nice pink color but if you want it if you find that it doesn't work you can always add a little bit of like gel food coloring in the mix but these strawberries had a really nice color to them so I think it's going to give me that pink that I'm looking for and I'm just going to mix this you you want to start with a little bit of liquid or the puree here I'm going to add like another tablespoon and I think three tablespoons should do the trick but you you want it to have a thick but thin consistency kind of if it's too thick it'll be hard to glaze the donuts so just kind of keep working this in a little bit more okay I think that's where I want it maybe a little more oh it smells so good the strawberry puree okay I want a little more so somewhere to like three to four tablespoons probably works for two cups there we go okay I think that's about right so you can tell what's a thick glaze okay maybe a little more there we go just give that a mix and the glaze is ready okay so I'm going to take my first donut and this one's still kind of warm I think this is the rounder side so I'm going to go in and give it a dunk I really you could coat this completely like you would a glazed donut but I'm just going to do that pink icing just like that yum and I'm gonna set this right back on the baking sheet and repeat the process there you go and this is why you don't want it super thin and working with a warm donut also helps yay and you could also add the sprinkles I didn't have any but it's still going to be good all right go in with one more nice okay so now for my donut holes and I'm just going to add them right in coat them completely foreign and they're done oh look at that yeah these are my favorite the donut holes you just kind of let it drip a little bit okay right onto the wreck and I'm gonna kind of like press it and open it up and it's cooked through my favorite I hope you give this recipe a try I hope you like it.
